ABOUT

Background:

I was born and grew up in Israel.

I hold an Msc. in architecture from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel where I also taught Architecture for several years.

I worked as an independent architect for more than 20 years.

Art Career:

I started work on the throwing wheel in 2008.

In the last 5 years I have focused my ceramics work on creating narratives related to local and global issues at the personal, community, national and international level.

I see myself as a story teller, dealing with conflicts in our daily life.

Ceramics training:

-        Community Center in Pardes Hanna, Israel

-        The Center for a Shared Society at Givat Haviva Israel
This center believes in using art as a tool for bringing Jews and Arabs to relate better.

-        Ceramic workshops:

  • in Israel (various)

  • Japan - at the studio of Norikazu Ogawa, Koka-Shi, Shiga

  • Spain - workshop at Avelino Carrasco Ceramista on Terra Sigilata in Madrigal De La Vera.

-        Member of the Ceramic Artists Association of Israel

-        Presented in Pardes Hanna Art & Craft Center (2013, 2014)

-        Presented in Givat Haviva Art Center (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)
